Accidents can happen to children even when parents or caregivers are being careful. Despite our best efforts to provide a safe environment for children, they are naturally curious and adventurous, which can sometimes lead to unexpected situations. Some common accidents that may occur include falls, burns, cuts, choking incidents, and other minor injuries. It's essential for parents and caregivers to take precautions and childproof the surroundings as much as possible, but it's equally important to understand that accidents are a normal part of childhood. It doesn't mean that parents are neglectful or irresponsible; it's just a natural aspect of a child's growth and exploration. When ...
Smurf keychains
Whenever there's a new movie out, we saw to it that we visit McDonald's at least once for promotional items. It's becoming a trend too that grocery stores are giving out stickers for kids to collect, you get a pack for every 10€ you bought. The one nearest our place is Zielpunkt and their sticker collection is Smurf! Much to the kids delight. ...
Kids at Play
(That was just one of those cute moments that I had to take a shot of, he doesn't know how to play at this age, two.) I am no expert in child psychology but I think it wise that kids must not be let early on to play video games, not earlier than when they can read or write. Sure there are a lot of educational games for kids but there are instances that you cannot monitor what they are doing on a game console. I bet you'll agree that kids nowadays learn much faster than us when we were their age...and I speak from experience. I had to ask my then 4-year-old (in photo, he's 5 now), how to record on my iPhone. :D He gets to tinker with the recorder a lot because he loves to sing and records ...
Playmobil Funpark, Germany, Big Fun With The Big Stuff
Playmobil, is Lego's counterpart created in Germany. (The former being Denmark's brainchild.) Just like Lego, Playmobil figures and sets - which could be assembled and disassembled help kids develop creativity thus widening their imagination. Playmobil figures are dressed up according to the profession they represent; doctors, nurses or construction worker...the list goes on. Each figure is 7.5cm and easy to put together...having no names, kids are entitled to give them one and create their own figures. We visited Playmobil Funpark recently...a 3rd time for my two older kids and the first time for the little boy. He was surprised with the gigantic figures that were to be seen everywhere. ...
Fishing Fun – 5 Important Things to Prepare For and 4 Top Things Kids Learn
An activity that doesn't come by so easy for us is catching fish. Fishing fun, as the kids would say, happens (may or may not because of the weather) when we go to Germany to visit Oma and Opa. Aside from the thrill of actually catching fish, the trip to a river in itself is exciting. It's a good thing, all 3 kids like to be outdoors, be out in the sun, play in the fields, and I hope they stay so for long. As mentioned, this is an activity that we seldom do, so there really isn't much to say except maybe the things you learn from the experience. But before we tackle those, let's also include some tips to do before you go. Things to do Before Fishing Fun Before heading off, check ...
Angry Birds Plush Toys
My husband and kids enjoy the Angry birds game...I tried playing it too but I promised myself I won't get hooked with games anymoreso I did play just to know how it goes. ;) Photo above was play-edited by hubby...he doesn't want the pigeons around our balcony so he bought that rifle to shoo them.. So while at the city of Nürnberg we passed by a comic shop...the kids saw some Angry Birds plushies and asked dad to buy them...Daddy can't say no - he always wanted these and has been looking for them online...good thing that they cost lesser here than in Vienna. :D We got 2 for 20 - the red bird is nowhere to be found so we'll have to look for it again... So this is what happens when you ...
