Could you believe it? Oh my! I can’t even believe it too, but this one is so true! It’s a computer that you can actually put in your pocket. Alright techies, geeks, nerds, and newbies, let’s meet the world’s smallest computer – Raspberry Pi.
I found a video from Eurogamer’s Channel on YouTube about the Raspberry Pi computer. So, I embedded the video below so you can watch it right here. Or if you want to watch the video directly on YouTube, just click this link – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGcILQ4WxEk
Although it’s known now to be the world’s smallest computer, the purpose of creating the Raspberry Pi is not portability. Yes, you can actually just put it on your pocket, but the monitor, mouse, and keyboard is not included. The main purpose of Raspberry Pi Foundation in creating this tiny machine is the chance to build more programmers in the future.
Why And How Raspberry Pi Can Help Programming Student?
We’re now on the High Technology era where almost all family can afford to buy a computer. Unfortunately, those computers is for family use only. I mean, for social networking purposes, storage area for photos and videos, etc. Seldom are used for programming purposes only, and buying a new one could be costly.
Programming is better learned by giving a hand on it. Most will agree, for sure. Besides, by this, students will not just became programmers. They will be better programmers and can do some clever things.
By the way, Raspberry Pi computers is one of the cheapest computer of today too. Raspberry Pi computers only costs $25 (Model A) and $35 (Model B). Because of these cheap prices, programming students can now afford to buy one and make their hand dirty for programming.
Raspberry Pi Is For Computer Engineers Too
Aside from being a great help for programming students, the Raspberry Pi Foundation also shared the diagram of this small but terrible machine. So, studying about the architecture of this machine could lead our engineers to another great machine too. It’s like an open source hardware.

This is a bit odd and but awesome! I think there are possibilities that in the future, there are monitor, keyboard and mouse everywhere for the maximum usefulness of the computer.
Awww, it’s cute. 😉 I want one. With a little raspberry covered case to protect it in my pocket? Next year, maybe – I’m enrolled in Chinese lessons, this year, and programming may be too much to tackle on top of that! But this is pretty awesome as a learning tool.
Whoa! Awesome computer. Portability makes a lot of sense in terms of computer. With that rasberry pi computer you can do the things you want in your computer wherever or whenever you like. I am looking forward to have that one. Need to be spend-thrift.
Thanks a lot. I gained new information for this day.
