Toys Need not be Expensive

Toys Need not be Expensive

PSP, Nintendo DS, Playstation 3, are some of the consoles my kids were used to playing with. :/ Don't get me wrong I have nothing against such gizmos especially since they have brain-training games that would really make kids think. I however believe that giving kids inexpensive toys is practical and would make more room for creativity. Younger kids tend to be careless of the toys they have and they also have shorter spans of enjoyment. I mean, they 'd play with a toy for 5 minutes and would look for something else afterwards. It's also good when kids get to tinker with their toys - just like my husband was when he was younger. My mother-in-law would often relate such stories that when he ...

Learn Programming: Start With Python

Learning a programming language might be difficult for newbies or to those who have zero knowledge about programming. One of the hard thing in this is to decide which programming language to learn first. I can still remember the first programming language that I have learned. That was way back 2004, when I transferred school and shifted from Electrical Engineering Technology to Computer Engineering. By the way, the language was the one that was created by Dennis Ritchie and now known as God's programming language, the C. Actually, if you want to start learning programming, choosing a language is not the first step. Studying algorithm must go first or together with. I guess, programming ...

Free Online Education Classes: A Revolution in Learning

With the cost of university education rising and more people wanting to fit studying around their working hours, learning online is growing in popularity. There are even schemes which offer free online education through the use of written materials, audio, video and sometimes group participation. In order to prepare effectively for studying online, it is wise to do some preparation. After choosing the right course of study you should ensure that you have checked whether you have the correct hardware and software needed to access the course materials. You should also perform a broadband speed test to ensure that video streaming will be quick to access and uninterrupted. ...

8 Benefits of Bringing Kids To Fun Parks

9 Benefits of Bringing The Kids To Fun Parks

Why do we bring the kids to fun parks? There's just so many people, it's expensive, you have to go on long queues, it could be too hot, and the kids could go on a tantrum.  True, in a sense, these things do happen, but there are a lot of good reasons too why we should bring the kids to a theme/amusement park. In a theme park and amusement park, kids can be kids, tantrums included. Sure they would get tired, but the smile you would see on their faces would be priceless. Amusement parks and theme parks could well be both called fun parks since the aim is for visitors to have fun, so we'll refer to both as fun parks from hereon. There's always benefits, some pros and also cons when we ...

The Importance Of Understanding Each Line Of Codes

The Importance Of Understanding Each Line Of Codes

The internet became and still considered the largest library of any field of studies today including programming. Thus, developing any kind of application became quite easy today because of this. There are lots of source codes being shared by other developers through forums, communities, and blogs. And because of this, there are lots of developers/ programmers who became skilled on the copy-and-paste programming technique (if you can call it a technique). Actually, there's nothing wrong on copying codes specially if it is a very good solution to a problem. But, most of the published codes weren't properly or completely explained. And I knew the reason for this. So, why? Because those codes ...
