December 2, 2013 by Marie Gizelle Leave a Comment

Google Glass and your Eyes

The worlds of fashion and electronics have come together once more with Google Glass making a statement in the New York Fashion Week 2013. This eye wear is actually an android device that has a head mounted display, touchpad, and camera for pictures and videos. Users can enjoy Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, voice activation, 16 GB storage, and Google applications like Google+, Gmail, and Google Maps that are also featured in this device.  As cool as this gadget is, one should first consider how these glasses may affect their eyes before plunging into the trend.   Long term effects on the eyes or vision become an immediate concern when one fits an eye wear with a computer and mini monitor. An entry ...

The VTech InnoTab 3 – The Tablet for Kids

I once heard someone say, “In the eyes of a child, everything becomes right if a grown person does it.” To some, this may have a negative connotation. After all, the statement seems all encompassing, as if saying whether a grown person does something good or bad, it becomes right from a young one’s point-of-view. So obviously, they wouldn’t purposely do something they know is wrong or bad especially when they know that young ones look up to them as role models. Therefore, instead of analyzing that statement under a bad light, it ...

Develop Your Child’s Spatial Intelligence with the Q-BA-MAZE 2.0 Mega Stunt Set

Once upon a time, children played actual toys. They had trains, airplanes, boats, balls, dolls, and blocks. Playing with these toys allowed children to explore the limits of their imagination. Playtime meant going out, meeting with friends (who are usually children of the same age who live next door or within the same neighborhood), going to the park, and playing said toys there. It was an awesome time for children to play make-believe. I should know, because I belonged to a generation where playing actually meant physical exertion and not merely endless tapping of the fingers. As time passed, however, these toys evolved into remote controlled vehicles, Barbie dolls, and Lego. While the ...

Unleash the inner nerd in you and get into one of the most exciting word games online, Letter Up. Friends and family members can gather-up in the virtual rooms of Letter Up for a fun game that will test your vocabulary and strategic skills. The Truth about Advertised Broadband Speed

The Truth about Advertised Broadband Speed

All Internet users share one major concern – the speed of their broadband connection. This is true for every individual who makes use of the Internet and regularly goes online, which is a majority of the population. No matter what you are using your connection for – connecting to family and friends from afar, sending e-mails, or accessing important information – the speed matters. This need for speed as far as our Internet connection is concerned only seems to be growing. This is probably because we have become spoiled by the service providers with increased speeds. Although increased speeds has in turn led to heightened expectations from users. All of that is fueled even more by the ...
