7 Benefits of Baking With The Kids

Baking with the kids can be messy but surely full of fun. Aside from the happiness and satisfaction it gives kids, there are  a lot of  other benefits baking can have on kids. It's a good way to bond with them and literally eat the fruits or the cakes of your labor after. If you haven't baked with your kids until now, it's never too late to start. You can bake on a weekend as a fun activity, be it cupcakes, brownies, or macarons and see the things they learn from baking. Here are some of the benefits of baking with the kids, or things that baking helps them with. Develop a Life Skill As the children grow, we are entirely responsible to nourishing them, we prepare them good food, ...

Trampoline

June 25, 2011 by Marie Gizelle 4 Comments

One of the things the kids and I enjoy together is trampoline jumping. Be it in an indoor playground or outside, we all enjoy jumping around and tumbling until we get tired. And yes, the bounce mat can carry even one as big as me. :D Using a trampoline can be dangerous, that's why there are usually large safety end-decks with foam pads at each end and spotters placed alongside the trampoline to try to break the fall of anyone jumping. It's also nice that the trampolines around here have been modified with nets to reduce the danger of falling off. It is also advised to jump one person at a time...my kids should learn this since they would often if not always jump in together.... --- ...

Xbox 360 Laptop Cooler

Need new gadgets to review!

June 21, 2011 by Marie Gizelle Leave a Comment

Blogging, where opinion is a big influence, is a way for me to earn money. It's not much but at least, I get to do something I like, and get paid for it too. So I also need the money to buy them lol. So, I signed up for a get-paid-to-blog website where advertisers and publishers interact. Publishers get paid reviews about services and websites, while advertisers gain promotion and readers from the links. Both parties gain traffic and deeplinks that would be easily indexed in the blogosphere. Thus increasing their page ...

The Rubik’s cube

The Rubik’s cube

I was 7 when my dad gave me my first Rubik's cube as a pasalubong. If I remember correctly, he came home from the Netherlands.  I was fascinated having seen the Magic cube for the first time and it came from Europe too! I considered it an expensive toy then so I rarely got to tinker with it, lol. Fast forward 23 years later and I gave my then 4.5-year-old son his first Rubik's cube. He showed much interest with puzzles and mind games and I'm taking advantage of that. You might recall also my last entry for Toy Story is a sliding puzzle, that and this cube and a handful more are my gifts to him. It's also to enhance his thinking ability. Little boy was sleeping earlier so I wasn't able to ...
