Though the contest about this was didn’t attracted much contestant, I was inspired by stories of the participants. So, I decided to share my own story. Everyone is free to laugh. Toinkz!
Okay, what I am going to share is my story when smartphones was new in the market. (Oh my! I’m laughing as I am doing this post!)
A friend of one of my friends offered me to buy his smartphone for Php 5k which we can say that it was on a cheap price during that time (I think that was somewhen on 2004 or 2005). And you know what I told him? I don’t want smartphone because I am loyal to Globe. Aaarrggghh! WTF!
Another thing is that I promised to myself that whenever I am gonna buy my very first computer, I will never buy a netbook because I can only use that for internet surfing. LOL! But now, I am planning to buy one on December. Yeah! My very first computer. But this time, I already know that a netbook can be used not only for internet surfing purposes.
Oh wait, there’s one more! The first time I saw a micro SD card, I thought it’s a new design for SIM cards. LOL!
Okay, that’s all. And from then, I started to read more about technology. Woah! Being a noob is funny for the veteran or veteran-feeling person. The thing that they came from being a noob didn’t got to their mind. The only place that they can see is the place where they are currently standing and the path they are going to go. They don’t know how to look back where they started.
The lesson? When we were still noobs, we learn the basics, the foundation. Our future depends on how much exposure and experience we have with the basics. And this must never be forgotten. Yeah! It’s just the basic. But remember, you will never got there if you ain’t got here first.
That’s all. And may I invite you to share your stories? We may laugh, but for sure, your stories will inspire us too. So, if you are willing to share your story, please sign up on NooBite Community and look for “When I Was Still A Noob” discussion, and share.
BTW, I have more stories to share on that thread.
Thanks a lot and I hope to read your stories too.
“No to Smartphone. I’m loyal to Globe.” HAHAHA I see what you did there. :))
“Buy a Netbook to surf the Internet.” hahahaha
“MicroSDs… Smart, Globe, or Sun?” =))
^ Slogans for the Noob Kris. :))
Anyway, that should be triple facepalm. hahaha.
(triple? how’s that possible?)
ROFL much on this post. Thanks for the share. =))
I think I need to delete this post. LOL! Or I should change my name. Hahahaha!
Nooo, don’t delete this. ;__ ; hahaha.
Don’t worry you covered your face on the photo so you wouldn’t be a laughing stock. Only on this post. :))
But seriously, those were the days and it’s fun to just laugh at our own mistakes in the past. Yours is just funnier LOL. >:))
Hahaha! So, what I have learned from there? I should be as updated as I can. I hate reading before. And because of those noobie things, I now read news and updates. I am now not afraid to ask. And now, I do not pretend that I know something I do not. 🙂
I was really laughing while typing that post. LOL! I’m crazy!
