Setting up Shop Online

May 28, 2017

It seems like most everyone has spent their work day at one point or another, dreaming about being their own boss, perhaps for additional income or be with the kids more while still earning for them. Maybe you have a product idea that you know is new and inventive, or you have a better way of doing something already out there, maybe a really beneficial game for kids or an educational toy. But you have dreamed about opening your own business, only to go back to work.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. In this digitally driven world, you can create your own business in the comfort of your home without a whole lot of stress.

Creating your own business starts with having a product or an idea. You can create something brand new, you can do things a better way, or you can even just put your own spin on a classic. A unique creation can help to get your product talked about, while a new version of an old thing might bring in customers with familiarity and curiosity.

No matter what you choose to do, you will need to set up shop. Thankfully, because of the internet you can do this without the hassle, the high cost and the rent of a brick and mortar store. You can create your online store which will allow you to create your items at home, and then ship from your local post office. This can save a considerable amount when it comes to the costs of running your business. Especially if you use some of the flat rate boxes that are available at your local post office.

When it comes to choosing the right e-commerce store, you will want to do your research. Not all companies offer the same thing. That is why you will want to do your research, to make sure you are getting everything you need for a price that you are satisfied with.

Shop online, online shop

Different companies offer different things, and differing price scales. It is best to shop around, so that you are aware of what the going price for most services are. Companies like 1ShoppingCart.com will give you the information you need to make the right choice for your burgeoning company’s needs.

Advertising is another big part of getting your business going. You need to get your name out there so that you can start bringing in customers. Social media is a great place to start, so you might consider making a Facebook page or starting a Twitter account to share news and coupons with your customers.

    1. Thank you! This is an old blog of mine that I transferred on WA, had been idle for a while so I’m just reviving it. 🙂

  2. With dropshipping it is definitely easy for anyone to create an ecomm shop. You don’t have to worry about shipping the products yourself. You do have to treat it like a business so it takes work to get e-commerce rolling. A Facebook fan page is a great way to get your business out there when using it with FB ads. I haven’t tried 1shoppingcart but I’ll definitely be taking a look at it soon.

    Thanks for the info!
