A lot of the kids during the 90?s got bit by the Tamagotchi craze when it was first launched in 1996. It was the first electronic virtual pet that one can bring along almost everywhere. Although these pets are just virtual, kids are still able to form some attachment to them. Those who got their Tamagotchis back then probably have their original toys stashed somewhere in the attic.??For the others who don?t, they can simply download the Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. App and re-experience the Tamagotchi Fever of the 90s.
Just like the original version, the Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. features a virtual pet which the owners need to take care of. Pets have to be fed, groomed or entertained, and disciplined in order for them to survive. Needless to say, a neglected pet would soon meet its demise. This new app version is released and created by Bandai Co. and Sync Beatz Entertainment dubbing it as Tamagochi L.i.f.e. which stands for ?love is fun everywhere?. Once again, kids can bring along their pocket pets everywhere with mobile phones and tablets on their hands. This free application features the original characters of the game but this time in colored mode. Users can also have their own digital Tamagotchi collection and signature wall papers. It will also be easier for friends to introduce or marry pets with each other since the app has a Facebook share feature.
There may be a lot of mobile and social networking games that feature virtual pets nowadays, but the nostalgic appeal of the classic Tamagotchi makes it a good contender for game popularity. The twenty and thirty something crowd who got caught in this 90?s craze aren?t the only ones who are about to get infected by the latest Tamagotchi fever. This new app is something that the 90?s generation can share and enjoy with their kids.
This just made me think of high school. I totally loved mine and I know I annoyed people by trying to keep it alive all the time. I even tried to get my boyfriend to watch it while I was at work LOL
Glad they are back. They are great companions to the desktop.
